I guess Paris is closer to Madrid than London is?

FFF: THe BBC are playing Enoch Powell's Rivers of Blood" speech. As a dark-skinned person who doesn't have an English accent, I'm getting worried about my safety in the UK at the minute. Brexit has legitimised racist attitudes to what was formerly unacceptable and on the fringes. Coupled with the hostile immigration climate Theresa May is stirring up (with deporting people who've lived here since they were children but are now being forcibly deported), the BBC's decision to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Powell's speech is just another indication where things are going, tbh. Anyway, in lighter news, went to the dentist, got a scale and polish, and my mouth is SO SORE, damn it. No fillings though. That's something.
