- Football Manager 2017 to simulate BREXIT and it could make signing players a whole lot harder First, we're looking at being unable to afford Marmite in the coming months, now signings are getting harder on football manager
- Why football IS ready for a gay player to come out... why Chris Sutton disagrees with FA chairman Greg Clarke who says players would suffer 'significant abuse'
I'm with Clarke, tbh I remember when Ashley Cole was alleged to be gay (before he got married to Cheryl Tweedy). Opposing supporters had the bright idea of getting banners with 'Queen Ashley' on it and the rest. When the FA got wind of it, they threatened the clubs with some serious sanctions (like docked points, playing in closed stadias, etc). Granted, it's twelve years down the road, but supporters will do anything to get one up on a player, and if they can wreck his confidence, why not? It's all fair in love and positions in the PL. Besides, do gay players really need to come out? *jazzy becomes the arsehole at the dinner table* I'm sure that their teammates know, and at the end of the day, you can only do the best for you in such a short career span. If the environment doesn't feel welcoming, why paint a target on your own back? NGL, post Brexit, there have been some areas where if I could move through the crowd under the invisible cloak of Anglo Saxon whiteness, I would. I just want to get effing marmite at Tesco's without having to declare my nationality in the queue, FFS. Or have my young male relatives enrolled in their new school without their schools demanding to see their birth certificates post Brexit vote, thank you! Sorry, it's been a wretched few weeks.
- English football is still in denial when it comes to homophobia... staggering statistics reveal clubs across the country continue to have problems Grim reading. There are good incentives like rainbow laces and kick it out, but still a ways to go.
Lots of draws and good goal keeping, tbh.
Sporting CP 1- 2 Borussia Dortmund
Dortmund's form continues unabated. I heard Goetze played well! If you think I have a picture of him to post... you're sadly mistaken
Lots of cute photos but Tumblr needs to embrace the less kawaii bits of the sport
*jazzy closes her eyes and turns her head away from this photo*
Dortmund rolled up. These people can bring their own atmosphere and vibes, tbh
Pulsic played well, I hear?
Bayer Leverkusen 0- 0 Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur rocked up to Leverkusen. Levekusen is always a rough ground for English teams, either with losses (Blackburn!) or narrow wins (Tottenham Hotspur in 1987; 1-0 )
I'm sure Pochettino set his team up in the 4-1-4-1 formation that he's been taken with as of late, but the results have been mixed, to put it kindly
Hueng Min Son returned to Leverkusen to warm applause. Couldn't get a goal, though
Whisper it, is Janssen the next Soldado? Pochettino will hope for a no, because without Kane, they are thin on goals
Chicha thought he scored, but goal technology denied him!
All the Spurs players need to treat Hugo Lloris like the based Lloris that he is! Saved a point for Spurs, keeping them in contention, particularly as Spurs were all over the place in the second half. I'm sure Vertongnen will be having words with Dier after the match. WTF was that?
Dele Alli - sorry kid can't call you what you want to be called- had some flashes of brilliance, but... no joy
Real Madrid 5- 1 Legia Warszawa
Sorry about Bale, but this is a great photo. Real Madrid got two goals in twenty minutes. I knew it was going to be a long day
The pictures are pretty much preening and more preening. Sorry?
Leicester City 1- 0 FC København
Mahrez got the winning goal in the dying embers of the match
Fans getting into the spirit. The CL has some rules that are interesting. Do you know that you can't have an overly patterned pitch? It has to be simple for the game
The Danish fans were in fine fettle, and why not?
With this win, Leicester have more points in the Champions League (9) than in the Premier League (8)
Leicester seems unable to buy an away goal in the PL, but watch them win the Champions League. OMG if that happens
Lyon 0- 1 Juventus
Cuadrado scored the only goal
Here for gigi
Lacazette has that fierce beard game
Juventus leave with three points
Man City have new travel suits. What do you think?
dunno about the denim and white trainers though
What is this?
OP: Done! More time!
