- Wenger suggests the media are obsessed with Mourinho: "I'll leave your love story with him to continue without interfering." LOL. Mourinho is good for a byline in that he does the work for you. You just need to point the recorder in his direction and press play. He doesn't speak in clichés at all, like the other coaches in the league, which is why I've loved him since 2004 (not his team though. Forever boo)

Matches
Wolfsburg won the Supercup on penalties
Lord Bendtner saved the day.
Bendtner could probably masturbate on a taxi and no one would care, because silverware gets you forgiveness for most things
Manchester City flopped. Stuttgart 4- 2 Man City. Oof. Bad day at the office
Blue Moon, I saw you standing alone... I really dig that blue for Manchester City's kit. If that's the blue they're going with for the training kit, well...
I hope Bony has a good season. I don't mind Manchester City, although I really should
Women's FA Cup Final Chelsea 1- 0 Notts County
Chelsea showed up, Notts County didn't. That's about it, really. Chelsea got it as a result
There's gossip about Chelsea Ladies, and it would be interesting if I cared. I don't, so, we move on
The quality of the match was scrappy. The first fifteen minutes tentative, the next thirty minutes, a really high tempo clip, the next half, Chelsea had a tidy game to Notts County's mismanagement. Ji (South Korean national, Chelsea player, FSL player of the year 2013/2014, play maker, game reader) clipped in. Aluka (not pictured), won WOTM
Chelsea and Notts county were on different trajectories. Chelsea has gone for eight years without silverware, and raided Arsenal for their coach and a few players, and pumped money into the side. Notts County... they started off life as Lincoln Ladies (which is lol because Lincoln is not really in Nottingham), folded circa 2011, got reborn again circa 2012/2013, and are in the second year of a 'five year plan' that their coach has for the club. For women's football, you get the feeling that the coaches do have time to shape their vision.
Casillas doing his Porto thing
Liverpool played and won. It's preseason friendly, so I hold out no hope for it to be replicated in their first seven matches.
OP: done! Cheers, jeers, corrections, and commentary pushback, you know the drill! I'm off on a trek today (if the weather holds) or will tweaking a muffin recipe (if it doesn't). Have a good time with the matches today. Can you Adam and Eve it that the PL season starts next week?
