- Raheem Sterling insists he is not a 'money-grabbing 20-year-old' despite turning down Liverpool contract worth £100,000-a-week LFC has shat the bed with this one. Sterling did an interview with the beeb sans permission, saying that he would have signed a contract earlier in the season if he'd been offered (the club was coming off a high off last year), but with Suarez and Gerrard leaving the club, he says the club has been weakened, he wants trophies, and to be honest, Rodgers isn't the guy to get us there. I reckon Sterling would have been unimpressed with the team's form earlier in the season, how long it took for LFC to solidfy (wondering if there's truth to the rumours that Rodgers had lost the dressing room, but Gerrard was the one who righted the ship). The embarrassment of the Liverpool's campaigns in Europe (CL and Europa), the fact that Rodgers even blamed the grass when things weren't going his way, and Rodgers isn't an up and coming coach who players really know in terms of wanting to work with, like Simeone even up to eighteen months ago (Simeone has established himself now) doesn't help matters. LFC has always been a selling club, in that we've gotten good talents, and are a bigger base to showcase them than say, Real Sociedad or Southampton but with Sterling now leaving, it's a blow. Expected, but a blow. Oh well, like a fart in the wind, this too shall pass.

Graziano Pelle got a goal in... god knows how long for the Azzuri.

Porto sold another player to Real Madrid. They've made a lot of money out of scouting and selling players. Teach LFC your ways!
