MLS all star fan XI announced for bayern match

Major League Soccer announced the Fan XI that will face FC Bayern Munich in this year's edition of the MLS All-Star game to be held in Portland on August 6. The XI were picked from a 152-player pool nominated by media members and voted on by fans via either an online ballott or twitter. Bayern's World Cup-winning contingent will be up against some familiar faces as eight of the Fan XI were part of the US national team's World Cup squad. Seven of those squared off against Germany and its Bayern players in the group stage.The rest of the All-Star roster will be chosen by the league, the league Commissioner and players that received at least two votes from their fellow players.

This year's All-Star coach, Caleb Porter, will select the 20-man matchday roster to take on Germany's record champions in the marquee matchup.2014
