the girl apologized through another popular social network, facebook.
Last week-end, player Barça B Marc Muniesa (18) made the newspapers for two reasons. The first time, on Saturday, because he lead his team to victory against Villareal B with a splendid goal from outside the box, his first goal in La Liga. And again, on Sunday, when he was involved in a curious accident that occurred on the popular social network Twitter: a young fan took over his identity and exchanged a couple of messages with Barcelona B manager Luis Enrique "Lucho".
'Lucho' tweeted the girl (who was using the nickname @marcmuniesa24) thinking it was the defender: "Careful, I'll be watching you on the internet. Today you drew with your pal 2-2". The "pal" Lucho was referring to is a very close friend of Marc Muniesa, Sergi Roberto.
Despite tweeting him at first, the manager went on to check the twitter profile to make sure, and soon enough he realized it wasn't his defender's. What gave it away were mainly the spelling mistakes which didn't suit a good university student like Marc.
After "Marc" tweeted his second message, Luis Enrique publicly revealed it was a fraud account: "It's obvious you are not Muniesa. None of my players use that formal tone with me. You should think about tweeting with your real name instead. Regards". In the meanwhile the defender, who is a stranger to twitter
Allegations that the player might decide to sue, as would have been his right, were dispelled when the girl apologized through another popular social network, facebook. She sent Muniesa a private message in which she apologized profusely, and the canterano accepted the apology. Case closed.
