Being a Milanista from the moment I was born and growing up and going to the stadium it's easy for me to love Pippo Inzaghi.
He's not a Messi, he's not a Torres, he's not Ibrahimovic. But he's Pippo, and it's just what it takes to be loved (no, ADORED) from us Rossoneri.
Yesterday he scored 2 goals, overtaking Muller and Raul and becoming the first striker in the European matches!
The match was problematic, Pato wasn't playing at all and from the moment Pippo rose up from the bench the entire stadium started chanting "Pippo! Pippo!" being there it was amazing and when he finally reached Allegri and got ready to enter the pitch, the whole San Siro was in an awe for him and you could feel that the number 9 was feeling it!
And then it's all history! He scored 2 goals and almost made us win over the great Real Madrid, over the awful Mou but he gave us emotions and tears and dreams!
I know his record is doomed to end (such young players as Messi and Villa will probably overtake Pippo in the future) but it was actually a piece of history to be there and delight with all the stadium.
And in the end I know supporters from the other teams actually hate Pippo's football but I am sure that mainly it's because everyone fears him (even Mou himself admitted it) and anyway this record is to celebrate, Pippo Inzaghi first goleador in the European Competitions!
Sorry everyone but I had to share it and celebrate this hero of us, there will be time to talk about the match and the pang I felt watching the Real Madrid guys in the pitch before the match.... :)
