YOANN FINALLY SPEAKS
The translation is not perfect
Hello, it has been a while with the WC and everything. How are you?
Yoann: I'm fine and happy to come back to the Haillan Castle to see my teamates again and everyone that I have the chance to know since two years . I'm happy to come in a good environment and this is important because we lived a very tough World Cup so it's important to get fresh after vacation . We have to catch up it won't be easy but I hope we'll do it.
You didn't get that much of a rest time after the World Cup, Alou Diarra told us few days ago that he wanted more holidays
Yoann: Yes psychologically, in 15 days, it's hard to recover to come back here with a lot of motivation. We actually don't feel that we have holidays because 15 days to get football out of you're head it's not enough. It is necessary to adapt i and work as.hard as possible because this is the most important part of the season in my opinion.
What did you do on vacation ?
Yoann: I was in Bretagne(where he comes from it's a region in the east of France) at home with my family and friends get back into a real life with people who have the same values as I have.
VERY INTERESTING STATEMENT
Yoann: No first time on Monday. I didn't really have the chance to talk with him but for now he's just observing personally. I have a big training session just about physical stuff because the season is coming soon(Ligue 1 begin tomorrow but Bordeaux will play on Sunday) and will be very long but for now I didn't really talk to him.
We know that Jean Tigana is a coach who loves offensive football like Laurent Blanc before. Is It good for someone like you?
Yoann: Sure I think we have a team who wants to play who wants to keep the ball so I think it's good to keep this philosophy. I think Bordeaux can be more competitve but for sure we have to be serious defensively.
You had some problems physically last season due to injury in pre-season. Can pre-season games be cause of player having physical problems.
Yoann: It could be but not necessarily because with a bad blow in game you can get hurt and that have nothing to do with the physical state. Sure last year a lot of players went through physical issues due to the fact that they played a lot of games like Alou Diarra who has been injured or like Marc Planus or even our goalkeeper Cedric Carrasso but we have to be ready and the pre-season is important for that and be injury free to feel well on the field and be ready to make any effort and play games regularly.
Last year Bordeaux finished badly but there some good memories like the quarter of final of the Champion's League but this season with no European Cup will not be there be a bitter taste ?
Yoann: Sure, we ended the season badly the but during the first part of the season we were very successful. In the Champion's League for a club like Bordeaux to have been in quarter- final and not loose a game until Bayern Munich who went until the final is great. In the group stage we managed to compete with Juventus evenly and with a little more effort we would have been even able go to semi-finals. It will remain a beautiful memory and for the club it is always interesting to be seen in this compétiton and to go far.
You are the pet of the French supporters so we went and asked them about you
Fan 1 : He is a very good player and should stay at Bordeaux but my opinion is he might leave
Fan 2 : If he leaves we're going to loose
Fan 3 : He should stay. We have to sign others players because Chamakh has left, and we need to reform the team
Fan 4 : A player as Gourcuff needs to be in a club which is big in Europe and can play in Champions league.
i wish he would just move to a club where his potential is finally realized. I can see him being sad about Cesc staying at arsenal because that was his big chance to make a move .
