Wolves appoint new manager
Ståle Solbakken has been confirmed as the new manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club.

He will take over the reins from Terry Connor, with the club apparently in turmoil having won just four points from 12 games during ‘TC’s’ tenure.

The former Norwegian international has been at Molineux this week and will officially take over on 1st July.

Wolves Chief Executive Jez Moxey said of the recently sacked Cologne manager: ”Following talks with Stale Solbakken I am happy to confirm that he has agreed to become our new manager. He will be formally introduced to the media on Monday.”

The 44 year-old will take over having been sacked as manager of German Bundesliga club FC Koln four weeks ago with four games of the season remaining. The club have since been relegated.

It is Steve Morgan’s first managerial appointment as Wolves’ owner and it is a huge gamble by the Liverpool native. The new manager has been assured that he will have a ”treasure chest” to to try to that attain promotion at the first time of asking. Morgan also stated that the club’s finances are in ”great health.” Terry Connor will continue as assistant manager.

hmm, no, I still miss Mick. Although in other news - Wayne Hennessey was picked as fans' player of the year <3 and Stephen Ward, Stephen Hunt, Kevin Foley, and Kevin Doyle have all been called up for Ireland. Either way, good luck and I expect to see you boys back in fall 2013!!
