Tottenham Hotspur 2-2 West Bromwich Albion

Last week I went to London and managed to put my hands on two tickets for the Spurs - West Brom match. They were quite high but I didn't pay for them and I still had a good view so I wasn't to bovvered. :p

I'm a Liverpool supporter but I like Spurs so it was nice to see them and it was very exciting to be for the first time in an EPL match in a big and beautiful stadium like White Hart Line. I was happy with the result because it was good for Liverpool even though I felt a bit bad for the supporters sitting around me.

It all felt like I was watching the match on TV and when the players celebrated after a goal it seemed like I was watching a computer game, lol. But seeing those great moves by players in real life is amazing. You really get how talented those people are. Also I remember being amazed by how fast Bale ran, lol.

Anyway, here are some photos I took. As I said we're pretty far but I think I managed to take some nice photos. (:

My friend and I missed the first few minutes of the match and just as we're settling down and being all exited West Brom scored. It was a great goal. I was really happy I at least got one goal because it sucks to be in a goalless draw.

On the hypocrisy when it comes to evaluating Real Madrid

I thought this article was worth the read. It's well known among madridistas that our club is measured with a different sort of stick compared to our rivals (not only Barcelona, although with matches in the past couple of weeks it's no surprise this is the main comparison in the article). IMO it's most evident in the debates regarding Messi and Ronaldo, where one can do no wrong and the other can do no right. However, the article argues it much better than I can, so without anything further, here it is:

Defending Mourinho, yet
Javier Martín

I am suspicious of pleasing people, especially if there is a microphone involved. I prefer the unpleasant kind who, when away from the spotlight, usually tends to surprise with an endearing character. I am heavily outnumbered, I know this. The audience likes to hear what they want to hear, but I am much more worried by journalists who let themselves be wheedled by color or appearance. This is relevant because of the bad press, mainly Spanish, of Real Madrid’s coach, José Mourinho, and the good one, rightfully acquired, of Pep Guardiola, of Barcelona.

Speculation on a Sunday

Bale to Man Utd? Krkic to Liverpool FC? Fabregas to FC Barcelona? Sunday's transfer round-up

Sunday's round up of the top transfer stories from the past 24 hours...

- Manchester United are lining up a £60million swoop to sign Tottenham duo Gareth Bale and Rafael van der Vaart, according to Caughtoffside.com.

- Arsenal and Liverpool are keen on signing Barcelona forward Bojan Krkic this summer, according to talkSPORT.

- Liverpool have agreed a pre-contract deal with Sylvain Marveaux, according to reports in France, with the Rennes wiinger set to move to Anfield this summer.

- Lyon will reportedly offer goalkeeper Hugo Lloris a new contract following interest from several Premier League clubs including Liverpool.

- Tottenham midfielder Sandro, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, is also a possible transfer target for Manchester United, reports Caughtoffside.com.

- Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that Cesc Fabregas, who is still wanted by Barcelona, is under too much pressure at the Emirates, but believes the midfielder will grow stronger from yet another trophyless season should he stay at the club.

+ Bonus story (because we all love La Liga talk):

Will Cristiano Ronaldo quit Real Madrid CF after being dropped?

After being dropped by Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho at the weekend, there is fresh speculation in the Spanish capital that Cristiano Ronaldo could leave the club

I just wanted a (real) general transfer post. What are your thoughts on these rumours, and other rumours circulating your club right now? What do you think will happen this summer in transfers? And, most importantly, how soon do you think United will get Bale?
