Lights will guide you home.

This weekend sees Wolves vs. Tottenham in the premier league. The match is as important to the top end of the premier league as it is the bottom – Wolves are situated third from bottom in the table, and Spurs are fifth and will be looking to climb above Chelsea into the Champion’s League places. However, there is another pertinent point about these two teams; the late, great English footballer, Dean Richards, who tragically passed away just last Saturday at just 36 years of age, spent much of his playing career at both of these two teams. Whilst the fans watching the game will be undoubtedly hoping for a win from their side, there is something altogether greater unifying both teams – mourning the death of and celebrating the life of a brilliant footballer and man. An online campaign on Facebook has already arised for both sets of fans to sing “Deano” in the 36th minute of the match. It will, without a doubt, be a bittersweet, moving moment.

Mourinho 'escaped knife attack' as guard stabbed

Mourinho escaped knifing - FOOTBALL - La Liga

Jose Mourinho narrowly escaped being stabbed in an incident that saw a member of Real Madrid’s security staff wounded, it has emerged.

After arriving at La Coruna airport last Friday, before Madrid’s goalless draw at Deportivo, Mourinho was signing autographs when a man attempted to attack him.

Not realising the assailant was armed, a member of the club’s security staff intervened, receiving a small stab wound that went un-noticed until he was on the team bus.

It was reported that the guard initially thought he had only been punched.

The attack was caught on CCTV cameras and police are hunting for the suspect.

Despite the incident having occurred a week previously, Madrid sought to keep the incident quiet until radio station Cadena Ser reported the attack.

Cadena Ser quoted a club source saying there will be increased security for the game against Racing Santander this weekend.
