Gerrard Talks about Soto and Liverpool's Next Target

Steven Gerrard believes the presence of Sotirios Kyrgiakos adds a new dimension to Liverpool's attack.

The Greek defender netted his second goal of the season in the 2-1 win over Blackburn with a fierce header from one of 15 corners taken by Gerrard on the day.

Kyrgiakos was unlucky not to get another to make it 3-1 - and afterwards Gerrard was full of praise for the veteran.

"He's terrific in the air and I know that if I put quality deliveries in there, we'll get goals from set-pieces," said the midfielder. "The slight disappointment is that we never got one or two more.

"It's certainly a weapon in our armoury that we know we have to keep working on and goals will come from it."

The Santi Cazorla Show!

While with la seleccion, Santi Cazorla takes time out to play journalist and interview his Villarreal teammates:

hahaha. They're speaking way too fast for me, but it still makes me smile/laugh. Poor bb was trying so hard to take it seriously in the beginning. XDDD Someone please give this man his own show! ♥

Also, there's a new Santi Cazorla official twitter account. Real or fake? Decide for yourselves.

Crack!

Just a brief ad with Carlitos Tevez, where he makes fun of his lack of English skills. The idea of the ad is that it's so simple, even Tevez can explain it to you in english. I die every time from 0.46 to the end. I would make gifs of the whole thing, tbh.
PS: I know Carlitos isn't exactly loved around here, but can we just get along in this post? I have ·a lot of feelings·, ok? lol.

Back Down To Earth With A Bump At Bristol City

by David James

"Playing in the Championship after years in the Premier League is a culture shock but I'm relishing the challenge at Bristol City"

Eleven weeks in the Championship with Bristol City and I have to say my Premier League bubble has well and truly burst.

As a top-flight footballer you tend to have little awareness of what is going on in the lower leagues. All that wall-to-wall TV coverage of the Premier League can make you forget there is a world of "real football" out there. In the context of my managerial aspirations I am very grateful for the eye-opener. Had I moved straight to the lower leagues as a manager, after a playing career in the Premier League, I know I would have been in for a big shock.

thought it was an interesting read and well articulated. good to hear some honesty and it really makes you think about the types of attitude people have to top flight football.

Funny how the light can change your view.

This weekend, the premier league's two leading own-goal scorers, Richard Dunne and Jamie Carragher added more fine, fine goals to their ~tallies. Fun article from Yahoo -

loooool, Carragher as an IMMENSE "scoring" rate against Spurs! Anyway, I was watching Dunney's own-goal against Sunderland and my reaction was just "oh dear." Dunney, mate, you don't help yourself!!! Still, at least he scores some goals for his teams. I do believe both Carragher's scored more own goals than he has goal??

Anyway, I'm putting this out there - your fave own goal? I'mma risk the wrath of some of this community and say this is mine ;)

Oh, oh, and last call for this piece of winter funnery!!!
