Manchester United complete signing of Mexico's Javier Hernández

Manchester United have completed the deal to sign Javier Hernandez after the Mexico striker was granted a work permit on Thursday.

United last month agreed a fee with Mexican side Chivas de Guadalajara for the 22-year-old before the player also completed a medical and agreed personal terms.

United had only been awaiting confirmation of his work permit to complete his transfer, which will go through on July 1.

Hernandez's confirmation as a United player had been held up because he had played less than 75% of Mexico's internationals during the past two years.

He is, however, set to be a part of the Mexico squad at the World Cup finals in South Africa following which he is due to join United's squad for the Philadelphia leg of their pre-season tour of the United States and Canada.

Hernandez, who is nicknamed 'Chicharito', described his move to Old Trafford as "living the dream" after he completed his medical in Manchester last month.

United fans got a quick glimpse of his talents when he made a substitute appearance for Mexico against England in their 3-1 defeat at Wembley on Monday, before he scored in a 2-1 friendly loss against Holland last night.

Hernandez's signing is the first time that United have done a deal for a Mexican player.

His First match with ManU will be vs Chivas on July, 30th.

Boom Pow Kaboom!!!

Look! Up in the Sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Supertorres!!

Fernando Torres is now a comic book superhero named, what else, Supertorres! He’s the first superhero of the Superdeportistas (super athletes) series that will try to win the World Cup, AND save the world at the same time. In the story, Fernando Torres and the Emperor’s Consul, el niño and friends are about to be eaten by lions in the Coliseum of Rome when Fernando kicks a ball that he just happened to have (lucky, huh?) that distracts the lion, and thus earns the emperor’s favor.

One question: how is he going to try to win the World Cup if he’s in ancient Rome? Other comments: I like the skintight outfit, and I wonder if the publisher has time to re-color his hair dark brown before the books are released, just to reflect the current situation?

La Roja was on Informe Robinson tonight! Watch it here!

 here's a preview! <33

btw, have you joined ontd_espana ? I heard that's what all the cool people are doing ;)

City target Real duo! Clearly they don't have enough strikers.

Sky Sports News understands Manchester City are in talks with Real Madrid over the possible signings of Fernando Gago and Gonzalo Higuain.

City are looking to strengthen their squad over the summer after agonisingly missing out on UEFA Champions League qualification this season.

They have identified a number of transfer targets and appear keen to strike a deal with Real for Higuain and Gago.

Higuain has enjoyed a stunning campaign at the Santiago Bernabeu, although Argentina coach Diego Maradona recently claimed that Real had not contacted him about a contract renewal.

Compatriot Gago, who was linked with a move to City in January, also established himself as a key member of Manuel Pellegrini's team.

City would have to use all their financial muscle to prise the duo away from Spain but are understood to have entered negotiations with Real.

They are also thought to be in discussions with the representatives of Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko.,19528,11679_6175801,00.html

Something about South Africa...

Argentina players allowed to have sex during World Cup!!!!!!!!

Just in case you found yourself worrying about it in the wee hours of the night, you can rest assured knowing that the Argentines will be allowed to have sex during the World Cup. Whew. Although Maradona is running this ship, don't just think this means the Argentina camp is going to turn into one big weird swingers party. claims:

"The Argentina World Cup squad, which includes the likes of Lionel Messi and Carlos Tevez, have received the green light to have sex with regular partners during the World Cup as long as it is on non-match days.

Argentine team doctor Donato Villami, speaking on Argentina radio station Radio Del Plata, said: "The players will be able to have sex during the World Cup in South Africa, but with regular partners and without champagne or other drinks."

OK, so, let's go over this. The players can only have sex on non-match days, presumably to preserve fitness and recovery, and can't just go man-slutting it up all over Africa. They can have sex with regular partners, but are, under no circumstances, allowed to have sex with champagne or any other beverages. Why someone would try to have sex with a bottle of champagne is beyond me, but clearly the team doc felt the need to make that clear. Whatever floats your boat.

"Sex is part of everybody's social life and it's not a problem in itself. Problems arise with the excesses: all the extras, a non-regular partner or in hours reserved for rest."

All the miniature Leo Messi groupies hoping to catch some sexy Lego action in South Africa now need to find other ways to spend their time. Clearly Ronaldinho wouldn't fit in this Argentina set-up with his all-night sex and PlayStation 2 escapades.
