Oranje holds more cute than you'd think ;)

This is a post to recruit some fans!

Although we all know the cuteness off the Dutch Squad I think few people know this guy...

As an Ajax fan I always like watching matches he stars in ;) He didn't miss a single minute of the past season in the Eredivisie as our Rightbak. And all the Barça fans pay attention, because he is going to be the next Dani Alves! ;):P

So, I present to you: Gregory van der Wiel!

Isn't this just too cute? :D

They come over here, beat our football teams and now they're after our best celebrity women

As if the Falkands bizniz WAS NOT ENOUGH, now Argentina (surely referring to ‘the Argies’ is acceptable in the new political climate?) want a go on our celebrities n’all.

Lionel Messi, who is appaza some kind of footballer, thinks Chezza should be backing Argentina rather than England because they "know how to treat their women" and have the “prettiest” players.

"I don't know if Cheryl is going to want to support England,” he said.

“She might be a bit anti England players at the moment.”

There are more dating options for Cheryl than the associates and close personal friends of Ashley, everybods.

"If she is looking for a new nation to follow at the World Cup, she should look no further than Argentina,” he continued with a pretty amazing grasp of colloquial English.

"We play the prettiest football, have the prettiest players, and Argentinian men also know how to treat their women."

Messi even has Cheryl in his hypothetical celebration plans, should their eleven men (or ‘team’) ‘score’ more ‘goals’ than they let in in all of their ‘matches’

"She would of course have to do the Tango. I don't think there would be a shortage of Argentinian players willing to help teach her."

There needs to be some kind of law against this. To protect the sovereignty of our British celebrities, we must concentrate on encouraging the growth of our own celebrities and repel all invaders send them all back my grandfather didn’t die in two World Wars and one World Cup for them to come over here and take our jobs and our women.

So Cheryl, please bang British. Thank you.

Anyone know of a coalition government who may sympathise with our concerns?

John Terry is England's latest World Cup doubt with foot injury

Fabio Capello's World Cup finals preparations were hit with another major setback yesterday when John Terry was taken to hospital with a bad blow to his foot that could make the Chelsea captain a doubt for South Africa.

The latest injury to hit the England team, which took place in a Chelsea training session at Cobham, came just one day after Capello named Terry in his 30-man provisional squad in a group of five central defenders who already have serious injury problems. There are enormous doubts over the fitness of Rio Ferdinand and whether Ledley King's chronic knee problems will stand up to the rigours of tournament football.

Terry and Ferdinand are Capello's first-choice pairing to start against the United States in England's first group game on 12 June.

Yesterday the details of Terry's injury were still sketchy and he is thought to be waiting until today for the results of the scan. The fear is that he has broken a bone. Despite his injury problems in the past he does have a phenomenal record of playing through the pain although this latest injury may well rule him out of Saturday's FA Cup final against Portsmouth.

Chelsea statement:

'John Terry has today taken a knock in training and has gone to hospital for a precautionary scan on his right foot. He left Cobham walking freely in a protective boot, and we await the results which are expected on Thursday.'
Daily fail are reporting he's broken his metatarsal but they aren't exactly reliable..doesn't exactly sound too positive though..

New Zealand Squad

This is NZ's final squad... unlike other teams who are still whittling them down, we do obviously lack depth. Eg we have 3 amateur players and 2 who aren't even IN teams right now! o.O;; However this is still the best team NZ has ever put together. Playing against Italy, Paraguay and Slovakia won't be easy but we are sure hoping for just a tiny chance to get some points and maybe get to the next round..? ;)

John Terry. NOT BROKEN.

John Terry has confirmed that he has not suffered a broken metatarsal and that he still hopes to play in this weekend's FA Cup final.

Terry suffered an injury during training with his club on Wednesday and he was forced to leave their Cobham training complex with a protective boot on his foot.
He immediately went to hospital for a precautionary scan, but that they showed no break - amid fears he has suffered a broken metatarsal.
"I took a slight knock in training but with such an important match on Saturday the right course of action was to put a protective boot on my right foot and have a CT scan," said Terry.
"The scan has shown there is no break and I am hoping to train tomorrow if not
Friday and of course play in the FA Cup final on Saturday."
Terry will be desperate to avoid any injury as he prepares to lead Chelsea on Saturday against Portsmouth as they hope to complete the first Double in the club's history.
England coach Fabio Capello will also be keeping abreast of the situation as he looks to avoid any injuries ahead of the World Cup finals.

Torres fitness: View from Spain

The Spanish national team have revealed Fernando Torres remains a doubt for their World Cup opener against Switzerland - but the Liverpool striker is doing all he can to regain full fitness.

El Nino underwent knee surgery last month and is making good progress in his recovery as he bids to be ready for the clash with the Swiss on June 16 in South Africa.

"Right now, we cannot say whether Fernando will be ready in time for the first match against Switzerland," said Spain team doctor Juan Jose Garcia Cota.

"He has started to work outside and is still doing gym work to improve the muscle tone around the knee.

"It takes a long time but the process we are following is still very good. We cannot say for sure but we are optimistic.

"There are still many days and the injury evolves day to day."

Torres, along with Liverpool teammate Pepe Reina, was named in Spain's provisional squad for the finals earlier this week.
I hope he gets fit in time :( And of course that he comes back to us.
