I think it's time for a Real Madrid post

Maybe it's because they won 4-1

Maybe it's because they rock

Or maybe it's because I'm waiting for my flight to Madrid and I'm really bored, but I need some Real Madrid spam! And I know this is the right place for it...

So please, I need some help here!

(the reasons why this looks so crappy are that this is my first post AND I'm posting from an ipod)

Hummels & Howedes: INTRODUCTION, y'all!

Benedikt Höwedes & Mats Hummels
an introduction post

As you all know, the German NT squad was announced very officially earlier today and these two boys weren't called up for the WC squad. Despite Mats earning a nomination for the Malta game, it really isn't enough. For many German NT supporters, this was a disappointment, because these two have formed an excellent partnership and are both solid defenders (since, ya know.. Germany kinda have a horrible defense right now). But for those of you who aren't interested in the future of German defense (or lack there of at the moment).. there might still be something in this post for you. Not only do they have a great partnership on the pitch, but are also quite chummy off the pitch.. in other words, they have  -- yes you can say it -- a bromance.

So with the help of the wonderful wildmopdogs, we bring you this introduction post on (hopefully) two of Germany's future defenders (and potential epic bromance).

Barca boys pulling pranks

This is my first post here,so If i should delete it or someone has already posted it,please let me know  =)

So, after yesterday's training, Barca's central defender Gerard Pique decided to have a little fun with fellow team-mate Bojan Krkic.

While Bojan was busy changing, Pique hurried up and sprayed his car door with Betadine (a brand of povidone-iodine).
Immediately,  he explained his prank to mates who remained in the locker-room, including Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi, who couldn't hide their laughter.

However, when Bojan noticed what Pique has done, he quickly took the Betadine and sprayed Pique's car,  which ended up a lot more stained than Bojan's.

ahhh those Barca boys will never grow up. To be honest I kinda don't want them to ^__^

United announce details of summer tour in USA/Canada!

Manchester United will go west to prepare for the 2010/11 season, with new matches announced today for Toronto, Philadelphia, Kansas City and Houston.

The squad, headed by Ryan Giggs and including stars such as Paul Scholes, Edwin van der Sar, Darren Fletcher, Antonio Valencia, John O’Shea, Michael Owen and Dimitar Berbatov, will be bolstered by a number of the promising young players, such as Federico Macheda and the da Silva twins.

First stop is a training camp in Chicago, home of new shirt sponsors Aon.
This will be followed by a visit to the Rogers Center in Toronto for a match against Celtic on 16 July, then a return to the Lincoln Financial Field, where United played in 2003 and 2004, against Philadelphia Union on 21 July. Four days later, the Kansas City Wizards provide the opposition at the Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City. The US matches are completed in Houston on 28 July with a game against the MLS All-Stars in the Reliant Stadium.

Two days later, as already announced, the squad will play the Club’s first ever match in Mexico to open Chivas’ new 45,000 seat stadium in Guadalajara.

Sir Alex Ferguson said: “It’s great to be going back to North America. I enjoyed the last two tours there in 2003 and 2004 immensely. The quality of the facilities is outstanding and there is a real enthusiasm in the crowds. It’s especially pleasing to be going in a World Cup year, when the interest in football will be at its height.”

Tour Fixtures, July 2010

16: Glasgow Celtic; Toronto

21: Philadelphia Union; Philadelphia

25: Kansas City Wizards; Kansas

28: MLS All-Stars; Houston

Shakira and Freshlyground sing Official FIFA World Cup™ song

FIFA and Sony have chosen Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) as the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ in South Africa
. The song was written by Shakira, the world-famous singer from Latin America, who will perform with South African band Freshlyground.

Once again, the announcement of the official FIFA World Cup™ song was keenly awaited. Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) is the name of the new football anthem, and with its rhythmical African sounds, the song represents the vitality and energy of the host continent. South African guitars back up the Afro-Colombian rhythm and Soca beat. The chorus is similar to that of a popular Cameroon song made famous by Golden Voices in particular.
