3 kings

JOHN Terry last night claimed the all-powerful triumvirate of himself, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba are bigger than any manager will ever be at Chelsea.

Skipper Terry believes that all the trophies, all the cup finals and all the glory, as well as keeping the team going through five managerial changes in three seasons, is down to the unity inspired by himself and his two team-mates.

Tottenham are set to make a shock move to bring former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini back to north London. Flamini has struggled to command a regular place with AC Milan this season and has been asked to play out of position at full-back. The French midfielder is desperate to play first-team football in a bid to keep his hopes of a World Cup place alive.

Reports in Italy suggest Tottenham have made enquiries about the talented midfielder - with manager Harry Redknapp ready to bring him to White Hart Lane.
Flamini produced the best form of his career playing for Arsenal and Arsene Wenger was desperate to keep him, but he ended up leaving on a free transfer.
Redknapp is keen to strengthen his midfield and will have money to spend if he manages to offload David Bentley and Roman Pavlyuchenko in the January transfer window.
Flamini has not ruled out a return to England and is determined to show his best form playing in his favoured midfield position. Flamini said: 'I don't want to play as a full-back, I am a midfielder.'

First Viera, then Sol and now Flamini. The Spurs, really? The upcoming World Cup is sure making this transfer season seem like the Twilight Zone.

let's hope he plays more than one game this time.

Sol set for Gunners return

Defender to face West Ham reserves at Upton Park

Sky Sports News understands Arsenal are on the brink of signing Sol Campbell with the defender set to feature for the reserves on Tuesday night.

The 35-year-old is currently without a club after leaving League Two side Notts County last year, having played just one game for the Magpies.

Campbell has been training with Arsenal since leaving County and he is believed to have impressed Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

Wenger refused to rule out a move for Campbell last week after reports first emerged of a possible move back to Arsenal.

Campbell's likely return has moved a step closer with the former England international expected to line up for Arsenal's second string against West Ham at Upton Park on Tuesday.

Campbell, who had a five-year spell with the Gunners between 2001 and 2006, has been linked with a number of clubs since his acrimonious departure from Notts County, but it appears he is set to make a shock return to North London.
