The young contenders are coming

Who will succeed Podolski and seize the Hyundai Best Young Player award at South Africa 2010? There are no shortage of contenders, among them Argentina forward Sergio Aguero, Ghana’s Dominic Adiyiah, two players who have won the adidas Golden Ball awards at FIFA U-20 World Cups.

There is also classy Italian defender Davide Santon, the exciting Alexandre Pato of Brazil, Spain's flying winger Juan Mata, Japan’s Shinji Kagawa and Mexico forward Carlos Vela.

The eventual winner of the award will be selected by FIFA's Technical Study Group (TSG), a select group of top football coaches and analysts headed by Jean-Paul Brigger, a former Swiss international. Selection criteria are exceptional skills, a youthful and refreshing playing style, creativity and inspiration, tactical maturity and efficiency.

"To recognise the best young player we are also looking for someone who is entertaining with his play and is a role model for other young players," said Brigger.

New Vodafone's Ad! [Yeah you never get tired of Totti and lame jokes]

Rough translation:

I didn't understand much of internet.
(What did Internet do yesterday?)
Then I discovered the pc.
(Does not this book have any title? It doesn't even have pages)
the ADSL..
The internet key..
(ok now lame joke on 'key' and 'chi?' who?)
Blah blah random guy talking.
Then, another lame joke about Totti and tutti = everyone.

I love Totti, he knows he's ignorant and he likes to make fun of himself.

Flash report!

JOHANNESBURG, Jan 9 (Reuters) - Two members of Togo's national soccer squad have died after the team's bus was ambushed on Friday by gunmen in Angola's Cabinda area, Togo goalkeeper Kossi Agassa told French radio France Info.

"We have just been told that our assistant coach and our press officer have died", Agassa said on Saturday.

The regional director of medical assistance company international SOS in Johannesburg told Reuters his company had been asked to evacuate two members of the Togo party to South Africa and that one patient had died.

"I don't know if it was a player or not, Fraser Lamond told Reuters.

The Togo team attacked shortly after it entered oil-producing Cabinda, where it was scheduled to play in the African Nations Cup which starts on Sunday. (Editing by Matthew Jones)
