Brazil's Marie Claire magazine chose the sexiest footballers

Hello girls,

Brazilian edition of Marie Claire magazine listed the twelve most sexy football players of the world. Since we here are always discussing about the eye candies in the footie business, I think that would be interesting to share this list with you.

You can see the list here: http://revistamarieclaire.globo.com/Revista/Common/0,,EMI114346-17740,00-SALVE+A+NOSSA+SELECAO+UM+CALENDARIO+COM+OS+JOGADORES+DE+FUTEBOL+MAIS+GATOS+.html

Personally, Torsten, Owen and Thierry Henry are the sexier of those listed. No spanish guys out there, hahahahahaha. What do you think?

The chosen:

Cristiano Ronaldo
Torsten Frings (in the World Cup's month... A hint for Mr. Lowser? :)

Voronin weighs up Russia move

Andriy Voronin's agent has confirmed the Liverpool misfit is contemplating a January move to Russian side Dinamow Moscow.

The Ukraine international does not figure in Rafa Benitez's plans and the Reds boss is ready to offload him to raise funds for his own signings in this month's transfer window.

Voronin was farmed out on loan to Hertha Berlin last season and although he impressed in Germany he has failed to nail down a place in the Liverpool side.

Dinamo Moscow are understood to be the Russian side chasing Voronin and the player's agent, Andriy Golovach, has confirmed the striker is poised to leave Anfield.

"He has received a concrete offer from a Russian top-flight outfit as he is having the final say," Golovach told Ukrainian newspaper Gaseta.

"In terms of his Liverpool deal it is about a cancellation right now, not about a new loan transfer."

Hertha Berlin have also been linked with a move to bring Voronin back to the German capital, but Golovach insists the player has no plans to return to the Bundesliga outfit with the club facing a massive struggle to avoid relegation.

"Hertha BSC is almost in Bundesliga 2, Andriy does not want to get part of a relegation dogfight," added Golovach.

Time to make $$$ and buy GOOD players.

Christian Chivu :(

It seems that dramas hasn't stopped happening in January: yesterday Inter defender Christian Chivu suffered a skull fracture after an unfortunate clash with Chievo striker Sergio Pellissier. He underwent immediate surgery in the hospital of Verona, where they removed a subdural haematoma and reconstructed the fragmented bone. According to the surgeons, he is still on ER but his condition is stable. More than possibly, he will miss most part, if not all of the spring championship :((

and shit, please stop happening! thank you.

(btw, first post ever. hope i didn't messed up something *nervous*)

Patrick Vieira confirms he is joining Manchester City

Patrick Vieira has confirmed he is leaving the Serie A champions, Internazionale, to join Manchester City. The France captain has also revealed that he decided to leave San Siro to further his ambitions of playing in a fourth World Cup.

"I set myself an objective: I want to go to the World Cup," said the 33-year-old former Arsenal captain, who still leads the national side when selected but last played in a competitive fixture for France in September 2007.

"The important thing for me is to go to Manchester City and to show the coach [Roberto Mancini] I'm the same player as when he was in charge of Inter." Vieira played his final match for Internazionale in a 1-0 victory over Chievo last night.

"He was great in his last game for us," the Inter manager, José Mourinho, said. "He is a player that we will certainly miss now that he is leaving. It was the best way to say goodbye to us and I wish him all the best in his new life. I don't know where he is going. He doesn't have to tell anyone. We couldn't have stopped him from leaving."

Portsmouth player blasts 'complete mismanagement' under Ali al-Faraj

• Anonymous player says situation is 'a farce'
• Wages paid late for third time this season

A senior Portsmouth player has blasted the regime of the club's owner, Ali al-Faraj, accusing it of "complete mismanagement across the board" and demanding that the squad be told the "truth" regarding the direction of the club. Portsmouth paid the players their delayed December wages today.

The player, speaking on condition of anonymity, said continuing uncertainty over salaries was affecting the morale of the players, particularly those who were desperate to pay their rent or mortgages.

Speaking before the wages arrived in players' accounts late this afternoon, on what was the club's third, self-imposed deadline for such a payment, the player said: "It's complete mismanagement across the board and whoever's guilty is going to get away with it. We were told yesterday that all wages would be in our accounts today – except for those with international bank accounts. But we still haven't been paid. It's a farce. The players just want to be told the truth.

"The perception is that every footballer earns millions of pounds but they're not all making that kind of money. You've also got the reserve-team players and the youth team who haven't been paid, so it crosses the whole spectrum. If a player is earning a few hundred pounds a week and he's old enough to have moved out so he's paying rent or a mortgage, then he's going to encounter the usual problems that normal people have. And this has all happened over the Christmas period."

All Hail

Marta became the first female soccer player to get her own shoe made by a major German sports company. The next edition of the Puma Heritage line, which has released Eusebio, Pele, Maradona and Cruyff editions, is the Marta.

Dang chick, why you so fierce????? No word on when the boot will be available for purchase yet, so let's just celebrate genius in the meantime.

Want to remember how she lead Santos to a 9-0 victory winning the first ever Copa Libertadores this year? Yes, let's.

Shout out to Cristiane who scored 15 goals in that tournament.

I read an article that said Marta's feet aren't just small, but that she wears a 4 1/2 US Soccer size. Crazy no?

But if anyone can melt them, mould them and use them, It'd be Arsene!

In my own slightly more personal news, I've made a community specially for you gunner girls! arsenalbbs - so get on down there and start posting please!
