Real Madrid Interested In Manchester United Stopper Jonny Evans - Report

Real Madrid are monitoring the development of Manchester United youngster Jonny Evans, and could be set to make a January move for the Northern Ireland international.

The 21-year old has acted as an able deputy to the first-choice duo of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, and is highly regarded by boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

English publication The People reports that Los Blancos coach Manuel Pellegrini is looking to strengthen his central defence following a knee injury suffered by Portuguese defender Pepe, and comments that Evans is high on his list of potential replacements.

It is unlikely however that Ferguson would entertain allowing another of his first-team stars to depart for the Bernabeu, after losing the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruud van Nistelrooy and David Beckham in recent seasons.

Pellegrini may be forced to re-assess any move, with Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho also reported to be on the Spanish side’s transfer radar.

Carvalho made his 200th appearance for the London club yesterday, and speaking on their official website stated that he is enjoying life with the Premier League leaders.

Madrid themselves demolished Real Zaragoza 6-0 on Saturday evening, and started the match with the pairing of Ezequiel Garay and Raul Albiol in the centre of defence.

Oh Babe.

JoJo has again been put at the centre of attention when he was accused of helping a ticket tout  earn cash for unofficial  tours of Chelsea's training ground, and has seriously put his England future at risk.

John Terry is seriously jeopardising his dual role as the captain of England and Chelsea as senior Football Association officials are growing increasingly concerned about him and his off-field activities.

Yet he started the day at the centre of further unsavoury newspaper revelations as he was exposed for organising a secret tour of Chelsea’s training ground, apparently in exchange for a £10,000 cash payment that was made in the staff canteen while manager Carlo Ancelotti was dining at a nearby table.

Despite issuing a formal denial of any impropriety, it is understood that privately, Chelsea are distinctly unimpressed, while the FA have expressed concern over Terry’s newspaper column deal with The Sun and suggestions that he has gone against the wishes of England manager Fabio Capello and booked his family into Sun City for the World Cup.

The latest controversy saw Terry, accompanied by well-known ticket tout

Well, well, look who has una novia.

Mods, feel free to delete this if you see it unnecessary and/or repetitive, because the following text is from the magazine with the Pique pictures that was posted earlier today (but of course, we only payed attention to pictures, heh). To cut to the chase, we should read articles more because I totally missed the part where Gerard Piqué has a girlfriend...

Unless of course this was already established and I'm just completely oblivious. My finals are done and I was bored, so I decided to read the article and voila, here it is:

"Decías en una entrevista que tu madre te había recomendado concentrarte en tu trabajo y dejarte de novias. Pero, dado que eres bastante ligón, ¿no estarías más centrado con novia? Ya, pero es que ahora sí que tengo novia. Es mi primera relación en 22 años y, sí, creo que me ha hecho sentar la cabeza."

Basic translation: "Now I have a girlfriend. It's my first relationship in 22 years and I believe that she made me settle down."
And the original source. Cheerios.

Ki Sung-Yueng signs for Celtic

South Korea midfielder Ki Sung-yueng said he hoped to have a similar impact at Celtic as Japan's Shunsuke Nakamura after signing a four-year deal with the Scottish Premier League club on Monday.

The 20-year-old FC Seoul player, voted Asian Young Player of the Year after helping his country reach next year's World Cup finals, put pen to paper at a packed news conference in Seoul.

"I am really happy everything has been completed now. As soon as I signed a contract with Celtic I started to learn more and more about the club," Ki told Celtic's website.

"I used to watch Shunsuke Nakamura when I was young, especially when he played for Celtic and he did a great job for the club. This club is one of the biggest and best in the world and I know playing for Celtic will make me a better player."

Japan's Nakamura spent four years at Celtic, being named Scotland's Player of the Year in 2007, before joining Spanish club Espanyol this year.
