DENMARK QUALIFIED FOR SOUTH AFRICA

COPENHAGEN (AP) — Denmark has qualified for the World Cup with a 1-0 win over Sweden, securing top spot in Group 1 with one round to spare.

Jakob Poulsen scored with a low shot from well outside the area in the 79th minute Saturday, past a diving Andreas Isaksson and into the right corner of the net.

Denmark reached its first major tournament since the 2004 European Championship. Sweden is left fighting for second place in the group, but likely needs a win against Albania in the last round to secure a playoff spot.

Sweden's Henrik Larsson had a goal ruled out for offside in the 70th.

Denmark has not lost a World Cup qualifier at Parken Stadium since 1981

Score one for the underdogs.

Ahahahaha.

City set for £65m Ribery bid

MANCHESTER CITY will go all out for Franck Ribery in January even if they must double the British transfer record.

City hold the record with the £32.5million they paid Real Madrid for Robinho.

But it could take up to £65m to get French winger Ribery from Bayern Munich - and City are ready to go for it.

Munich are desperate to keep Ribery.

If successful the move would take City's spending under Mark Hughes to £315m in 20 months.

Unsettled Ribery has criticised Bayern coach Louis van Gaal.

He said: "There is no feeling between us."

LOL

Generally I'd say who would be that ridiculous? But I wouldn't put it past them though it is The Sun.

Let's play a guessing game!

Remember that wizard who ~*~jinxed~*~ Cristiano?

Well, he's coming out of hiding!

"Een heksenmeester uit Málaga beweert dat hij Cristiano Ronaldo in opdracht van een ex heeft behekst. Hij was degene die onlangs het nieuws haalde met een verstuurde brief naar Real Madrid waarin stond dat hij de Portugees zou blesseren. Volgens de man, genaamd Pepe, betaalde een 'erg bekende, rijke, wraakzuchtige en niet-Europese vrouw' een bedrag van vijftienduizend euro. (Diverse Spaanse media) "

So basically it says that the Wizard Pepe comes from Málaga and he claims that he was paid 15.000 € by some female who's famous, rich, out to get revenge and... NON EUROPEAN.

Guess the name!

ALL HOOD IN THE NEIGHBOURGOOD

Argentina, France and Portugal all won today giving them all a lifeline and a shot at playoffs!
Prior to today's victories, these teams only won a combined 8 of their last 24 qualifiers

Argentina reclamined their 4th place spot (the last place of guaranteed qualification) with a stoppage time goal by Martin Palmero after his 10 year absense from international football! Uruguay also gave them a hand by beating Ecuador.

Portugal who have been chillin' near the bottom of their group beat Hungary and moved up to 2nd place after Sweden lost to Denmark.

France cruised by Faroe Islands and kept their 2nd place spot. Anything other than a win would've resulted in Austria breathing down their necks!

But funnily enough, neither Messi, Ronaldo or Henry were found on the scoresheets... lol
