Ronaldo unlikely to make Sevilla trip due to injury

Real Madrid Star Cristiano Ronaldo A Doubt For Sevilla Trip

The full extent of the damage will be known after a scan later today...

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo is a doubt for Los Merengues crunch Primera Liga game away to Sevilla on Sunday after picking up an ankle injury in the 3-0 victory over Marseille in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Portuguese winger was injured in the challenge that resulted in his sides second goal, a 60th minute penalty, which Kaka converted. Despite the injury Ronaldo went on to claim his second and Madrid's third goal of the night before being replaced by Gonzalo Higuain with twenty minutes remaining.

The full extent of Ronaldo's injury won't be known until swelling on the ankle subsides but initial medical examination has shown bruising and a probable sprain according to AS.

Coach Manuel Pellegrini could also be forced to prepare for the testing trip to Andalusia without the services of Argentine midfielder Fernando Gago who has a possible hamstring injury.

Cescy New Boots From Nike

If you buy these boots, Nike swear you get to train with Pep and Iniesta and their Barca friends, as well as Fabregas (but none of his Arsenal friends). Virtually, anyway.

So far, sadly, only Cesc seems to have been tricked into posing with the boots. We're waiting, Pep, Andres and friends. (Yes, Dani, we saw you run by in the video.)

Barcelona Players have their Audis

After training, the players of Barcelona received an Audi of their choice. Most of the players chose the Audi Q7 while others like Puyol and Bojan went with the Audi Q5. Audi is an official sponsor of FC Barca in the automotive sector. The players took their cars on a test drive around a track before going home with them. Bojan got nauseous in Pique's car (lol)

Wallace makes Japan squad

Preston North End winger Ross Wallace has been called up to the Scotland squad ahead of their long trip to Japan next week.

George Burley has given the Dundee-born left winger the nod and it will be the first time he has linked up with the senior squad having previously played for the country at 'A' level and junior levels.

He will battle it out for a starting berth alongside Manchester United's Darren Fletcher, Celtic's Shaun Maloney and Scott Brown, Rangers' midfielder Kevin Thomson, Leeds' winger Robert Snodgrass and WBA's Graham Dorrans.

Burley has called up 22 players for the trip while Callum Davidson and former North End captain Graham Alexander both miss out.

I know alot of you won't care about this but I met him the other week and he's such a nice guy. I'm really pleased for him that he got a call up :')

darcy doesn;t sparkle

Arsene Wenger’s 13 greatest achievements in his 13 years at Arsenal…

It’s the 13 year anniversary of Arsene Wenger at Arsenal. That makes him the club's longest standing manager, and arguably their greatest. In fact, scratch that there’s no argument about it, sorry Herbert Chapman, he is the greatest, and here’s his 13 finest Arsenal achievements…

1) Going a season unbeaten
Lehmann, Lauren, Toure, Campbell, Cole, Ljungberg, Silva, Vieira, Pires, Bergkamp, Henry. In 2003/04, Wenger’s Arsenal became the first side to go through a league season unbeaten since Preston in 1888/89. Amazingly not one member of that side remains at the club.

2) Making Arsenal settle quickly in their new home
So many clubs struggle in a new home, and moving from that compact pitch at Highbury would have been a nightmare for most. It happened in such a dignified and easy manner for Arsenal, and that was down to Wenger.

3) Ditching Arsenal’s long ball roots
It’s almost hard to even think that even the great pre-Wenger Arsenal sides were known as hoof merchants. 1-0 to the Arsenal? It's more like 3-2 these days.

4) Turning Thierry Henry into the world’s greatest striker
Take one mediocre winger from Juventus and turn him into a legend…

5) Winning the double in 1997/98
When Arsene arrived at Arsenal the Evening Standard printed the headline “Arsene Who?”. By the end of 1998 they knew exactly who.

6) Doing it again in 2001/02
This achievement seems even greater when you realise Ray Parlour was in this side…

7) Winning the Premier League in 2003/04
The unbeaten year…

8) Getting to the Champions League final
Sol Campbell scored against Barcelona in the 2006 final, the night remains the closest Arsenal have ever gone to winning the European Cup.

9) Winning the FA Cup four times.
1998, 2002, 2003, 2005. And he’s been runner up once too…

10) Replacing the irreplaceable back four
Dixon, Winterburn, Adams and Keown WERE Arsenal. They simply could not be replaced, but they were…

11) Letting Dennis Bergkamp do what he does best
For many Dennis Bergkamp is the greatest ever Premier League player and the space he was gifted to provide his magic was largely down to Arsene's system and tactics.
12) Knowing when to sell
Though the Premier League has suffered by his sales, unquestionable he got the timing of departures like Petit, Anelka and Henry spot on.
13) Buying Francis Jeffers
We joke of course! But Wenger gave at least it proved he was human when he signed “the fox in box” for £8million.

Secret life: So you think you know Arsène ?

*Wenger's brother Guy played alongside him in the Duttlenheim FC team that won the Bas-Rhin regional third division title in 1969. Guy was thought to be the better player.

*Picked for the French university team when he was studying at Strasbourg, Wenger toured Nigeria, Lebanon and Uruguay as a student in the 1970s.

*Despite his limitations as a player, he was part of the Strasbourg squad that won the club's only French championship in 1979.

*His favourite card game is écarté, which means 'discarded' in French, a reference to the fact that all cards from two to six are omitted at the start. Legend has it the game was invented by Napoleon Bonaparte.

Model!Pato, Workin' it for Nike

Back when he was bald, Pato did some modeling for Nike, showing off his casualwear and his single expression. And, since Nike like to make his life difficult, they waited to release the photos until his hair grew back. There's no peen in them, though, he's over that. Really, he is -- don't worry, Sthephthfany.
