It can’t crash, can it? Xavi’s on board!!

I though this was a really cute story about what a lovely person Xavi is:

Some friends took a flight from Barcelona to Switzerland recently. They realised that the diminutive figure standing behind them in the queue was Xavi, with friends. He didn’t sit in business class, but row 27.

Most of the passengers asked him for autographs, with my friend saying “He was brilliant and had time for everyone. His girlfriend was friendly and was happy to take photos of fans with him.

"It was very funny when everyone started reading the free newspapers because he was on the front page. He was reading one too.”

There was turbulence and the pilot took two attempts to land the plane. Worried wife said to husband, in all seriousness: “It can’t crash, can it? Xavi’s on board.”

It didn’t crash and at immigration, Xavi refused to be fast-tracked, preferring to wait with his friends who were from South America and needed to queue to have their visas checked.

Nicklas Bendtner luckily escapes with minor injuries in car crash with his car looking like this.....

The Arsenal striker wrecked his £120,000 Aston Martin on the way to training on Sunday when he collided with a tree on the A1.
Bendtner escaped with minor injuries to his knees and shoulder, and is expected to return after sitting out of Tuesday's Champions
League clash with Olympiakos.

The Denmark star is now training alone as he attempts to bounce back from the shock incident.

'Nicklas has been training by himself on a bike in order to be careful and watch out,' said Thomas Bendtner, his father and agent.

'He is badly shaken and has some bruises, but knows he was very lucky.'

8/9/2009 from Sport

"Pique has rejected one by one all the proposals that he's gotten for both modeling in front of the camera and on the runway. The reasons have always been the same: the commitment to FC Barcelona and the Spanish NT cuts into his free time."

ok, then what do you call these:

Holy Mother of Valdes.

First post for meee!
Here's a player we rarely hear about:
Victor Valdes! I don't know his whole back story off the top of my luscious haired head but he's my third favorite Barcelona player and I rarely see anyone really post about him. Let's boost that tag usage to four, yes? YES! All together now:

Spain world cup 2010 shirt

The new Spain shirt for the world cup 2010 has leaked and here it is! The shorts will match the blue on the sleeves which is similar to those worn in the 2006 world cup.

The away shirt will also be changing from yellow to navy blue, similar to the kit they wore in 1964 when they won the Euros.

It is expected to be unveiled when Spain play Argentina on November 14th, however, if Argentina are involved in the World Cup play-offs then the opponent will be changed.
