Real Madrid Agree Xabi Alonso Deal - Report
untitled.jpg picture by tinaanna

Real Madrid have had an offer of €32 million accepted by Liverpool for Xabi Alonso and a pre-accord has been sealed that will see the player move back to Spain this week, according to a report.

A meeting between the two clubs in Barcelona at the weekend saw a thaw in the frosty stand-off, and with Los Merengues showing some goodwill, an agreement was reached, Sport state.

Liverpool were holding out for £30 million, while Madrid were keen to pay only €30million, but the rise of €2m has seen the Reds accept the offer.

The Spanish giants' director general, Jose Angel Sanchez, met with Liverpool's financial director, Christian Purslow, in a hotel within walking distance of Camp Nou.

Oh and I live in SF so that makes thing easy.

People of ONTD Football, I want to win not only for myself, Mr. Andrew Goldin Rotschild (INORITE A GUY HOLY SHIT (AND I'M STRAIGHT WTFUX)), but to also win for you. Each picture taken would be made available to each of you to crop your face in, and any personal messages would of course be passed along to the player of your choice. But none of this can happen without your help. Do the right thing.

EDIT: just so you guys know, the current leader's caption is "Barca-Niesta To Roma." THIS SHIT IS TERRIBLE. HELP US DEFEAT THIS CRAPOLA.

Park omitted from squad
(PA) Monday 3 August 2009

Manchester United's Park Ji-Sung has been left of the Korea Republic squad by coach Huh Jung-moo for the friendly against Paraguay on 12 August

Huh has called up European-based stars such as Wigan Athletic's Cho Won-Hee and Park Chu-Young of Monaco while there is a recall for former Middlesbrough forward Lee Dong-Gook, who is the leading scorer in the K-League this season with Jeonbuk Motors and joins the national team for the first time since the 2007 AFC Asian Cup.

"There is a full list of fixtures and the club (Manchester United) have made new signings so the start of the season is very important for Park," Huh said.

Park has had a busy summer, first helping the national team to achieve a seventh straight appearance at the FIFA World Cup in June and then was back in Asia in July as United toured the region.

"The situations for Park Chu-Young and Cho Won-Hee are different to Park Ji-sung. After their vacations they started training immediately with their teams," Huh added.

The match against the South Americans marks the start of the 2002 FIFA World Cup semi-finalists' preparation for South Africa.

With Park absent, the captain's armband will have to be worn by someone else but Huh believes that it won't be a problem. "Park may be captain but we have players like Lee Woon-Jae and Lee Young-Pyo who can do a good job," he added.

South Korea will also host Australia on 5 September.

just kidding. do it to it, laydeez!

"Jack Wilshere has a bigger fan club now"

And the commentator can't be more right enough :)

17 years old Jack Wilshere of Arsenal bagged Man of the Match title for second time in a row, in Emirates Cup yesterday. Here's the MotM interview with the one and only Jack Wilshere aka bb Jack the Hobbit, just after the bbs Gooners vs Rangers match.

Stay amazing, bb Hobbit <3

and what would my entry be if it's not spammed with gifs, hehehe

A look ahead to the new premiership season with The Times.

"The Game" is an awesome supplement in The Times, and it has returned today. I uploaded a few notable articles from today's issue, looking at Michael Owen and the ins and outs of the transfer window. Definitely worth a read. Apologies in advance for the duff quality.
