The Argie NT is facked for Ecuador

watch wut u say cos leo messi will smack a puto

Maradona will be sitting Leo Messi out for Argentina's match against Ecuador because he is on the risk of suspension -- one more yellow card would result in him missing the clash against Brazil in September. However, he will be played as a last resort if the team is desperado

Capitan Mascherano is suspended because of a yellow he picked up from the last qualifier against Colombia. Heinze is also not available

They are scheduled to play Ecuador this Wednesday. The team saw their biggest loss in WCQ history after facing their last high-altitude opponent

WHAT WILL DIEGO MARADONA DO?
use some of the players from the B team?
call his bff riquelme for help?
kiss away his problems with carlitos tevez?

start zanetti for once?
eat a pizza?

CR7 set for another summer operation

The Portugal skipper injured his groin after beating Albania last Saturday in a WCQ and will be needing a herpie hernia operation to resolve his problem.

This injury may rule him out for the pre-season with Real Madrid Manchester United, similar to what happened with him last year after his ankle operation.

"Cristiano's idea is to get it operated on right away so he can recover during June and be back to start training in early July," a source close to the player said. "But he definitely wants this dealt with because he thinks it might affect his pre-season work if not."

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is confident of keeping midfielder Javier Mascherano at Anfield despite reports that his Barcelona counterpart, Pep Guardiola, has spoken with the player about a £20 million move to the Nou Camp.

Benitez admitted last month that he had met the Argentina international captain to discuss inquiries made to the player's representatives by "four or five top clubs", but insisted that Mascherano was settled at the club where "he knows he is an idol for the fans and key for the manager".
It is believed Barcelona were one of those teams and sources in Argentina, where Mascherano is with Diego Maradona's national team ahead of tomorrow's trip to Ecuador, suggest Guardiola has made contact with the player, but not made an official bid; sources at Anfield stress the player is not for sale.

Benitez may face more of a struggle to retain the services of Xabi Alonso, Mascherano's midfield partner, who is believed to have intimated his desire to return to Spain with Real Madrid. The Spanish club's new president, Florentino Perez, has made his admiration for Alonso clear and is believed to have set aside £23 million to bring him to the Bernabeu.

Ronaldo is in the States, let the fun begin.

Making the most of his time in the States, Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted grabbing some dinner at the swanky Madeo restaurant last night (June 8).

The international soccer stud (oh America) looked handsome as he made his way inside the Beverly Hills eatery after having been escorted to the restaurant with his friends in a stretch Hummer limousine, later proceeding to Hyde Lounge to finish up the night on the town.

And it sounds like Mr. Ronaldo is back on the injured list after he complained of abdomen pain during and after Saturday’s World Cup qualifying victory over Albania.

Cristiano is expected to fly to Miami, Florida next week to undergo surgery so as to begin the healing process as quickly as possible. He’s due back in Manchester July 6th for practice. -- Source.

Real Madrid Give Up Chase For Liverpool Star Xabi Alonso.
Florentino Perez admits that attempting to lure Xabi Alonso to the Bernabeu could be a lost cause...

9 Jun 2009 21:55:44

Hot on the tail of securing the services of Brazilian star Kaka for an impressive six years, newly appointed Real Madrid president Florentino Perez spoke to Telemadrid about the players that he has been linked with of late.

Perez admitted that Los Blancos are looking to bring in an estimated six new players, but the 62-year-old conceded that attempts to sign Liverpool midfielder and Spain international Xabi Alonso could be entirely in vain.

"He [Xabi Alonso] is a great player but he also plays in a big team and I haven't heard any news that they plan to sell him," he said.

"It's obvious that [Liverpool manager Rafael] Benitez is counting on keeping him. That's normal, he's a good player and it wouldn't be easy to replace him."

Since taking over, Perez has openly laid his cards on the table when it comes to his intentions in the Spanish capital. The honcho stated that at least nine players are regarded as dead weight, and will be let go as he looks to continue rebuilding the club in a glamourous fashion.

"The squad has 28 players. We can bring in six new and only register 25," he concluded.
