Xabi |Eso es una barba|

Remember when we used to think things might be different?

I must confess, there was a time when Florentino was about to be assigned president when I bought his bullshit about having learned from past mistakes. I don't know if this is just Marca or they really know Pérez's wishes but I find it really disheartening that a Galácticos part 2 seems to be imminent.

Seven new players? You see any product of the youth teams? And I mean, the whole team is a bunch of stars plastered together, both impossible to sign and to function as a team. A complete fantasy. I know that by the end of the season the hatred to my team will have increased 200% but keep in mind that not every fan is pleased with what is happening to our club.

Let's Play the Getting to Know you Game

Thomas Sørensen

Okay ladies let's learn about another one of the BAMFs that play for Denmark. Thomas Sørensen is a beastial 6'5 because they make 'em big in the Scandinavian countries just like in Texas. He was born June 12, 1976 which means he will be 33 in 5 days and puts him in the prime of his life in keeper years. At the mo' he is stopping balls for Stoke City and he has done previous stints at both Sunderland and Aston Villa.

he's just being sergio... aguero

"I hope that Messi can take me to Barca
but that is a question for the directors to decide"

- Aguero is quoted as saying by Diario Clarin.

Yes because signing for a football club is as easy as helping your friend get a job at McDonalds

"I would not betray Atletico because they have always treated me so well. If I went to Real Madrid it would show a lack of respect towards Atletico," he added.

Idk, publically expressing your desire to play at another club isn't so nice either kun kun

A man stunned Roger Federer and the crowd at the French Open when he leapt onto the court and tried to place a red hat on Federer’s head during the men’s final on Sunday.

Federer pushed the intruder aside, and the man then danced in front of him waving a Barcelona soccer team flag.

Security guards ran onto the court to subdue the man, but he jumped over the net. A security guard from Robin Soderling’s side of the court then ran out and tackled him. He was carried off the court by three security guards.

Police later said he was jailed for questioning and could be charged with illegally entering a sports stadium. Police said the man claimed to be a fan of Federer.

Intruders have interrupted Grand Slam finals before, at Roland Garros and elsewhere, but what made this episode scarier was the man went right up to Federer and touched him.

After the man was taken away, a security guard approached Federer to check if he was OK. The Swiss player smiled and nodded. A moment later, Federer turned to look up at his wife in the stands and then adjusted his headband.

Federer won the first set 6-1 and was leading 2-1 in the second set when the man got through a row of photographers and jumped onto the court. Federer lost that game at love, but then won the next.

(no subject)

Fernando Torres today spoke of his belief that Liverpool can recreate the glory days of the 1970s and 80s under Rafa Benitez.
The 25-year-old agreed a new contract to potentially keep him at Anfield until 2014 last month - all because he feels the club is on the verge of 'something special'.

"There is nowhere else in Europe I want to be," said Torres.

"I believe we are on the verge of something special here and I am delighted to commit my future to this club."

The new deal for Torres follows agreements with Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt and Daniel Agger.

And Torres added: "You would not get top players signing new contracts if they did not think there were good times ahead. I expect many trophies for Liverpool in the years to come.

"The manager will know what he wants and what areas he wants to improve next season, and whatever he decides we know it will be the right choice because all the players and staff here have total trust in him.

"Our aim has to be the best. If we have no desire to be the best in England and in Europe then there is no point even turning up for work.

"I don't say it lightly, but we must think we can be as good or even better than (Champions League winners) Barcelona. It's the belief of everybody at this club that we can become the best and I think we have really moved forward in the last two seasons.

"Liverpool are just as famous as Barcelona as a football club and even more famous trophy-wise. But we want to make Liverpool as successful in this era as they were in the 70s and 80s."

Liverpool came closer to winning the title than at any time since 1990 in 2008-09, gaining a club record 86 Premier League points.

Torres believes last season will provide a perfect foundation for glory next term.

"We came very close this season, and next season, with the experience we now have, we know we can go one better," said the Spain international. "Manchester United are very strong but we will improve and will have more about us next year.

"We were unlucky with injuries this season. I am not making excuses but things could have been different. The manager is building and I expect many trophies for Liverpool in the years to come.

"Winning Euro 2008 with Spain was amazing and it made me understand how good the feeling of winning is. It has made me even more hungry for FA Cups, Premier League titles, European Cups - I want them all. And I want to win them all with Liverpool."
