Fernando Torres is definitely out of Liverpool’s clash with Newcastle after he did not even take the team bus.

Reports emerged in the Sunday papers that Torres may miss out with a hamstring strain, the type of which has dogged him all season.

Having scored 13 league goals in just 20 games this season, the Spaniard has been firing Liverpool’s title challenge right to the very dying embers of the season.

However, Liverpool will definitely be without Torres for the visit of Newcastle after The Reds disembarked the bus without their star striker.

Rafa Benitez will now surely be forced to start Steven Gerrard upon his return from injury as Liverpool look keep the title race going on Sunday.

I've twittered them too, no reply yet :\

EDIT:

Steven Gerrard returns to the starting line-up as Liverpool bid to close the gap at the top with victory over Newcastle this afternoon.
The Reds skipper has missed the last four matches through injury but has been passed fit for the visit of the Magpies and replaces Lucas Leiva as Rafael Benitez makes four changes from the side that beat Hull City.
Fabio Aurelio also returns in place of Emiliano Insua with Daniel Agger, who last night agreed a contract extension, coming in for Martin Skrtel.
Albert Riera is the other change, replacing Fernando Torres who does not make the bench.

The Liverpool team in full: Reina, Arbeloa, Aurelio, Carragher, Agger, Mascherano, Alonso, Kuyt, Benayoun, Gerrard, Riera. Subs: Cavalieri, Skrtel, Ngog, Dossena, Babel, Lucas, El Zhar.

Robin Van Persie Ready To Return For Arsenal Against Manchester United

The Gunner is winning his race to be fit in time for Tuesday's crunch Champions League clash...

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie is set to hand the Gunners a huge boost by
returning to fitness ahead of their crucial
Champions League semi-final second leg against Manchester United.

The Dutchman has been struggling with a groin injury but, according to the Sunday
Mirror, he looks set to feature at the Emirates on Tuesday night, as
Arsene Wenger’s side look to overturn a 1-0 deficit.

The Gunner has missed the last three weeks of the season, including the first leg at
Old Trafford, which United won 1-0, but is close to fitness and is expected to start
the vital game.

His return will be warmly welcomed by Arsenal, who looked short of options in
attack at Old Trafford, with Emmanuel Adebayor toiling up front on his own.

The Dutchman has been in fine form for Arsenal this season, having netted nine
Premier League goals and hitting four more in the Champions League.

Indeed, with Andrey Arshavin ineligible for the clash and Eduardo injured,
van Persie’s return could not be more timely.

However, whilst Arsenal will be boosted by their striker's return, they do still have problems in defence.

The Sunday Mirror claims that Gael Clichy will definitely miss the game, meaning
Kieran Gibbs will deputise once again, whilst former United defender Mikael Silvestre
is also a doubt.

Gill Clark, Goal.com

I kinda expected Clichy to still be out, but I'm just so happy that RVP looks like he's seriously on the mend. It was so obvious last CL game that we really miss him for the big games when he's not there. I'm just so pleased.

Oh, and this:
