April 15th, 2009

Dirk Luis

15th April 1989, 20 years on. JUSTICE.

April 15th is an absolutely tragic day of every year for Liverpool fans. 96 family members and friends were lost attending a football match, i would like to make this post in tribute to them and to restate the fact they will NEVER be forgotten.

Steven Gerrard recently very correctly said that the 96 shouldn't be known just as a number but as individuals.

We will never forget you.

Please, no jokes or messing about in this post.

This is a day that will never be forgotten, we will continue to fight for justice and the memory of the 96 will live on forever.

Frank Lampard dines with a mystery brunette, while his ex Elen Rives teams up with John Terry streets away

Frank Lampard narrowly missed an awkward encounter with his ex-fiancee Elen Rives after the Champions' League quarter-final last night.

The Chelsea midfielder, who scored two goals in the game against Liverpool at Stamford Bridge, celebrated with his father and teammates with a lavish meal.

While Lampard toasted his team's progression to the semi-finals with Petr Cech and Henrique Hilario, captain John Terry was dining with Elen.

Separate lives: John Terry dined with his father at Carpaccio last night, while ex-fiancee Elen Rives was streets away at Zuma with his teammate John Terry and wife Toni

Following the game, Lampard and his father, retired footballer Frank Lampard Snr dined at Chelsea restaurant Carpaccio with Cech, Hilario and a mystery brunette.

After dinner, the 30-year-old footballer left Carpaccio through the back door, leaving his dad and female companion to exit through the front.

Lampard then moved on to nearby Boujis nightclub, where he was joined by his mystery friend.

An insider at the club told the MailOnline that Lampard's companion left earlier than the footballer, who stayed at the club till 4.30am drinking Cuervo Platino tequila.

Unsurprisingly, his 60-year-old father decided to call it a night and return home.

Mystery woman: Lampard was joined at the restaurant and club by a mystery brunette who arrived and left separately

Notably absent was Lampard's rumoured new girlfriend Saskia Boxford, who made her official WAG debut at the England-Ukraine World Cup qualifying match earlier this month.

As the Man of the Match dined at the Italian restaurant, his former love was less than a mile down the road at Japanese eaterie Zuma in Knightsbridge with Terry and his wife Toni.

Zuma is Rives's favourite restaurant and the scene was many a romantic dinner date with Lampard.

Despite calling off their engagement two months ago, it appears Spanish beauty Rives, 30, is still very much a part of the Chelsea social circle.

Dining companions: Rives ate with Lampard's teammate John Terry (L) while her ex-fiance dined with dad Frank Lampard Snr

The mother-of-two has been friends with Terry's wife Toni for several years and attended the couple's 2007 wedding with Lampard.

After her catch-up with the Terrys, Rives moved on to the Raffles nightclub.

While Terry is still good friends with his vice-captain Lampard, it's clear his wife is determined to maintain her friendship with Elen, who is no-longer classed as a WAG after she ended her seven year relationship with Lampard in February. :'(

The couple, who have two daughters together, ended their rocky relationship in February.

Elen has moved out of the couple's £8.5million Chelsea home into a nearby property with Luna, three, and Isla, 23 months.

a united post to boost the hopes for us for tonight

Smells like Keane spirit

Sir Alex Ferguson wants to see Roy Keane’s spirit of Turin from Manchester United tonight.

Level at 2-2 after the first leg, his side almost certainly need to win against Porto or go out.

Back in the 1998-99 Champions League, United drew their semi-final first leg with Juventus 1-1 at Old Trafford. But inspired by Keane they came from 2-0 down to win the return 3-2 and go on to win the final, And the infamous Treble.

Dirty Tackle.net has a rather...interesting artcile on Arsha and the fact that he doesn't fit in and is an alien. Hey, dont ask me, I just copied it. Apparently, hes a tough guy to understand.

To be honest, the article and its what kind of fuckery deserves a whole new post by itsself, but I just thought I'd mention our 15 minutes of fame.

Well, whatever. The pics used are from US! And we have been mentioned there too!

HELENA WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?

RONALDO vs WALCOTT

not gunner lie, today wasn't the most exciting day for quarterfinals, but at least they gave us two of the prettiest goals of the week! the beauties were openers by theo walcott and cristiano ronaldo and were both lovely but shared their differences. kinda like how ron's skin is shiny and full of oil filled canyons, while theo's dreamy complexion could possibly land him enough skincare ads to compete with fernando torres' resume

do you prefer walcott's smooth moves and his stylish little flick over the keeper?

or are you less about style & craft and more about power & precision?
check out ronaldo's long range stunner that sent man united to the semi finals.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM ARSENAL v VILLAREAL

Robert Pires Sad With Villarreal Defeat, Touched By Arsenal Reception

The veteran Frenchman has admitted that he was moved by the welcome he received at the Emirates Stadium.

Villarreal winger, Robert Pires made his very first return to Arsenal since his departure from North London back in 2006 for the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals.

The Yellow Submarine were comprehensively beaten 3-0 by the Gunners but the veteran Frenchman still walked away a happy man after he was given a rousing reception by the Emirates faithful.

“On a personal level, it was very nice and very inspiring,” he told reporters after the match when asked about the moving ovation.

“Honestly, I did not expect it. Although I know that Arsenal players never forget their old colleagues, it still touched my heart. Also, I found out what it’s like to play in this stadium, as I’ve never been here before.

“In spite of the defeat, this will stay in my memory for a long time. It has been very emotional,” he added.

The 35-year-old, who played for Arsenal from 2000 to 2006, believes that Arsene Wenger’s current crop of young superstars will go far in the competition.

“This is a big team that have a lot of potential, a lot of pace, freshness and youth. I would wish to see them, as well as Wenger, go all the way to the final and win the Champions League.

“Today, I am still a fan of this team, especially because they play the kind of football that I love,” he praised.

Arsenal will now meet Manchester United in the semi-finals, with the first leg to be played at Old Trafford on April 29.

Villarreal, meanwhile, will turn their attention back to the Primera Division as they look to finish in the top four again to make next season’s edition. They are currently fifth in the standings, one point behind Valencia in fourth.
