How True this is I Dunno

Report: Roman Abramovich May Sell Chelsea

Speculation in the British press is mounting that Roman Abramovich may be close to selling Chelsea.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is considering selling the club, according to The Sunday Times.

The paper claims that representatives of the Russian billionaire have been in Dubai and Saudi Arabia in an attempt to drum up interest over a possible sale.

The Sunday Times even goes as far as to quote a ‘source’ of the Chelsea owner as saying, “Abramovich’s team have been out in the Middle East sounding out what interest there is in buying the club.”

Abramovich bought the club in 2003 and his finances have largely been responsible for the club’s recent success.

The Blues have claimed two Premier League titles and also reached the final of the Champions League last season.

The Russian brought the club for £60 million, yet is thought to want around £800m for the club, after having invested heavily in his five years as owner.

Abramovich was a committed follower of the blues initially, but his visits to watch the club have become noticeably less frequent recently and he missed last weekend’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester United.

These absences, added to the fact that he has reportedly been hit heavily due to the current economic crisis, has all led to speculation that he may be ready to part ways with the West London club.

Chelsea have always rejected suggestions that Abramovich is looking to pull out tof the club, although with his side not the dominant force of old, his reluctance to release funds in the transfer window and his increasing absences at the club on match-days may suggest otherwise.

Ronnie Gets A New Ride!

United stars play pedal prank on Cristiano Ronaldo

PRANKSTER Man Utd stars have bought Cristiano Ronaldo a new little ron-about after he pranged his Ferrari — a toy PEDAL CAR!

Grinning teammates had a whipround to replace his crashed £200,000 supercar with a red plastic kiddies’ model—a bargain at forty quid.

They even stuck a Ferrari badge on the front and gave it a CR7 reg plate.

Then they left it parked at the club’s training ground—right next to the £140,000 Bentley Continental GT Speed fleet-footed Ronaldo’s been running around in since the smash ten days ago.

And when the FIFA World Footballer of the Year came out of the gym, he went into fits of laughter over his new motor.

A club insider revealed: “He thought it was hilarious and said he was going to play on it as soon as he got home.

“It’s fair to say Ronny has had more than his fair share of stick since the accident. He couldn’t stop going on about his Ferrari and how beautiful it was. So a few of the United lads thought it would be funny to play a trick on him.

“So they all chipped in and bought a cheap plastic pedal car from the local toy shop.

“All the lads were laughing as he scooped it up and put it in the back of his car. It put a smile on his face—and he said he’ll give it to a local hospital or good cause.”

Now he plans to get his other bigger toy FIXED rather than have it written off after crashing it into a tunnel wall on the way to United’s Carrington training ground.

The £110,000-a-week winger waited 12 months to take delivery of the Ferrari 599 GTB and has told team-mates that having it mended will be a lot quicker than joining another waiting list for a new one to be built in Italy.

Our source added: “He just wants the car back on the road, and if money is no object then why not just get it fixed? I

“It’s better than waiting another year for one to be assembled.”

I like how the source misspells 'Ronaldo'...
