Oh Getty Images...

I'm not much of a commenter around here but I love this community to death and don't know what I would do without it. :D So popping my posting cherry, I present to you all some information I discovered tonight.

While surfing around our favorite picture site, Getty Images, for pics of Mr. Classy Xabi Alonso, I found that not only can Getty Images provide one with images but they also provide one with information found no where else on the internet.

German star Ballack is back and ready to bolster Chelsea's challenge

Michael Ballack is no stranger to coming back from injury just in time to help Chelsea out of a crisis. Ballack is in line to make the squad tomorrow for the first time since surgery on his foot last month and could feature in the clash at West Brom.

During his absence Chelsea have lost three games in six, including in the Carling Cup to Burnley, so the 32-year-old is hoping to galvanise the team on his return in much the same way he did last December.

Netherlands to miss top strikers against Sweden

Netherlands coach Bert van Marwijk will be without two of his best forwards in Wednesday's friendly against Sweden.

Real Madrid's Arjen Robben was left out of the 19-man squad announced Friday because of a thigh injury and Ajax's Klaas Jan Huntelaar has been sidelined until next year with a torn ankle ligament.

Van Marwijk named just three attackers for the game in Amsterdam; Liverpool duo Ryan Babel and Dirk Kuyt, and Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.

However, he has the flair of Real Madrid midfielders Wesley Sneijder and Rafael van der Vaart to boost his attacking options against the Swedes.

Defenders Khalid Boulahrouz and John Heitinga, and midfielder Nigel de Jong will return to the squad after recovering from injuries.

Goalkeepers: Henk Timmer (Feyenoord), Michel Vorm (FC Utrecht).

Defenders: Khalid Boulahrouz (Stuttgart), Giovanni van Bronckhorst (Feyenoord), Tim de Cler (Feyenoord), John Heitinga (Atletico Madrid), Dirk Marcellis (PSV Eindhoven), Joris Mathijsen (HSV), Andre Ooijer (Blackburn).

Midfielders: Ibrahim Afellay (PSV Eindhoven), Mark van Bommel (Bayern Munich), Orlando Engelaar (Schalke), Nigel de Jong (HSV), Wesley Sneijder (Real Madrid), Rafael van der Vaart (Real Madrid), Demy de Zeeuw (AZ Alkmaar).

Forwards: Ryan Babel (Liverpool), Dirk Kuyt (Liverpool), Robin van Persie (Arsenal).

DIAF SCHUSTER TAG?

Ballack Ready To Commit Future To Chelsea

Michael Ballack is adamant that he has no plans beyond Cheslea in the face of speculation that he is angling for one final big money move.

The proposed new deal is yet to materialise meaning that the Germany captain's contract with the English capital club is still set to expire next summer. This, of course, has proven fertile ground for rumours, which Ballack has now shown himself keen to extinguish.

"I'm relaxed about my contract situation. I love Chelsea," he told the Evening Standard ahead of his expected comeback against West Bromwich Albion this weekend following surgery on both feet last month.

"As a player you have to have a good feeling about where you are and there is no reason why I should change clubs when I'm feeling this good," added the 31-year-old.

"I'm not 25 any more and thinking about all the places I'd like to go. I'm now playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. We can still improve and I want to help with this.

"I feel I have a lot to give for years to come. I think I have a lot of experience and am still in good shape. I feel strong, I can imagine finishing my career at Chelsea and we want to win something big.

"Last season we were very close to doing it with the Champions League and these are days where you can make history and that is what I want to do with Chelsea."
