Manchester United star Carlos Tevez is believed to have ditched his wife for a footballer-obsessed model.
The 24-year-old Argentinian is said to have fallen hard for the ex-cheerleader Mariana Paesani after meeting her three months ago - leaving his marriage in tatters.
His devastated wife Vanesa – mother of his three-year-old daughter Florencia – has flown home to Buenos Aires according to the report.

‘Vanesa feels badly let down and is going through great sadness. She thought Carlos was a changed man since settling down in England but that was obviously not the case,’ a friend is quoted as telling the Daily Star.
Vanesa forgave her husband after he apparently cheated on her with another Argentinean model - Natalie Fassi – four years ago.
The striker then famously sucked a dummy on the pitch after a goal as a tribute to his family.

However he was were spotted holding hands with Mariana last month as they played golf near his £3million Cheshire home – sparking rumours of an affair.

Carlos reportedly took the model for a candlelit dinner at Manchester’s San Carlo restaurant the following evening.
Mariana, 25, has previously spoken of her attraction to footballers.
‘I die for footballers. When I want a player I simply become a goddess. I cover myself with vanilla and chocolate essence so they want to eat me whole.
‘I dream that they scratch me all over. I am insatiable with men,’ she said.

Raiders take footballer's medal

An Olympic bronze medal and a collection of Liverpool and Brazil shirts have been stolen from the home of a Merseyside footballer.

Raiders struck at the home of 21-year-old Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva in Woolton on Tuesday.

The Brazil international was playing at Anfield against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League during the break-in.

The burglary is the latest in a series of raids on the homes of Liverpool players.

In most cases, the thefts have happened while the footballers have been playing in matches.

The raid follows burglaries in the last 18 months at the homes of England dynamo Steven Gerrard, Dutch forward Dirk Kuyt, goalkeeper Pepe Reina, defender Daniel Agger and former players Peter Crouch and Jerzy Dudek.

A police spokesman said the stolen items in the latest raid had "significant personal importance" to the footballer.

Acting Det Ch Insp Peter Parry, from Merseyside Police, said: "Taken from the address was an amount of jewellery and some very distinctive football and sports memorabilia.

"These items have significant personal importance to Mr Leiva and they were associated with some very cherished memories."

Lucas Leiva won the bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Suprisingly this is not from, but from BBC News. It is kind of unfortunate there are so many shady people in the world that do stuff like this.

what's red, blue, white and barack all over?

It may not come near the top of his immediate to-do list but don't be surprised if you see the new leader of the free world on the terraces at Upton Park some time in the future.

That's because West Ham United have offered President-elect Barack Obama an open invitation to the Boleyn ground after his historic election victory this week.

Senator Obama is already a fan after being taken to a match by family members in 2003, but now the east London club have sent him a message of congratulation and an invitation to renew acquaintances with the Hammers on his first visit to Britain.

Of course, with the current financial meltdown and two wars ongoing, taking in West Ham v Wigan may be etched near the bottom of his immediate priority list.

But that hasn't deterred the Hammers, who told PA Sport: "We are delighted that Barack Obama has an association with West Ham and are sending him our congratulations and an invitation to attend a match whenever he is in Britain."

Obama is well known in the States for his liking for "soccer" - his older daughter Malia, 10, is a regular for a girls' team in Chicago.

Obama's half sister Auma lives in England, and it is was she who introduced him to the wonders of West Ham.

A source from his presidential campaign said back in January: ."Obama is a big sports nut and loves his soccer. He never really followed it, though, until he was told all about the passion of West Ham fans by some of his English relatives. He's always keen to find out how his adopted club are getting on."

West Ham's American defender Jonathan Spector, who is from Obama's home state Illinois, said he would love to host a visit from the new president.

Spector said: "From a personal perspective it certainly would be something special to welcome him to West Ham."
