TIME TO CHILL OUT

Sergio Ramos Off The Hook

The Sergio Ramos debacle appears to be finally over after the Real Madrid board decided not to launch an investigation into his declarations or take any action against him.

With the rightback’s future at the Bernabéu looking increasingly in jeopardy over the past few days, the club have taken the swift action to settle the issue and quash any immediate rumours about a possible departure.
At the weekend, prior to the clash against Athletic Bilbao, Sergio Ramos criticized the team’s playing system which constantly forces him to work twice as hard on the pitch to double as a rightback and an attacking winger.
He was promptly dropped for the game and rumours immediately began surfacing that Madrid have called off his protracted life contract negotiations and they were even prepared to sell him should the right offer come along.
But yesterday, the Bernabéu hierarchy issued a statement through the club’s general director, Miguel Ángel Arroyo, declaring that the issue is now closed and that the board of directors will not launch an independent investigation nor punish the player.
“There is no case against Sergio Ramos and there will be no more discussions between the board of directors,” Arroyo began.
“There was no hidden agenda in what the player said and there already appears to be full reconciliation in the dressing room,” he added.
Not only has the 22 year old been let off the hook, but the club also affirmed that they fully understood the player’s complains and they are in full support of his concern.
“We have spoken with him to ease his mind because it was very likely that he was in a distressed state of mind when he made those remarks and he never thought it would have such implications.
“He has been told that the issue has now been put to bed and there will be no further action taken against him,” the general director concluded.
It still remains to be seen if the club will reopen talks to offer him the life contract as had been promised several times.

Ballack To Quit?
According to reports in Germany, Michael Ballack is set to quit his post as national team captain and be replaced by Bayern Munich's Phillip Lahm...

Munich based newspaper Abendzeitung has claimed today that Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack is ready to step down as captain of the German national team.

The paper states that the 32 year-old will do so in order to preserve his place in the team as a compromise with head coach Joachim Loew.

The duo are believed to be ready for a face to face meeting, however Ballack's foot injuries have so far prevented that from occuring.

Ballack has already issued a public apology over his comments about Loew in regard to the treatment of both Torsten Frings and Kevin Kuranyi.

However, even though Ballack has paid his dues in public, Phillip Lahm is set to be unveiled as new Mannschaft skipper, according to Abendzeitung.

Milan Make €35m Bid For Fabregas - Reports

Cesc Fabregas
Milan have made a €35m bid for Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas and he could arrive as soon as January, according to Calciomercato.com.

The Rossoneri have always been keen on the Spanish international who is one of the best midfielder's GRAMMATICAL ERROR in football.

The Italian club is now ready to take their interest in him further as they have put together a mega bid to try and tempt Arsenal to part-company GRAMMATICAL ERROR with their man.

Calciomercato.com claims that sources in England have revealed Milan are moving and shaking for the player and the transfer could take off.

Il Diavolo have already made a €35m bid and it's believed the North London-based side are analysing whether or not to sell up.

However, the Gunners star may not be interested in moving to Serie A as he always revealed his penchant for heading back to La Liga.

Arsenal have always scoffed at attempts on their players from other clubs but the reported offer from Milan may be too good to refuse.

Fabregas has played at the club since he was 16 and, with no major success on the pitch in Europe over the past two years EXCEPT FOR THAT WHOLE PFA YOUNG PLAYER OF THE YEAR THING AND THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP, he may look for an adventure elsewhere SPAIN AND ITALY ARE BOTH IN EUROPE.

Milan's plan is to form a team of Galaticos and the Arsenal man would be a great addition to the squad.

Rubén de la Red collapsed on the pitch today

I don't know if anyone's been watching the Real Unión - Real Madrid Copa del Rey match but at 13', Rubén de la Red collapsed on the pitch and had to be stretchered out. Reports say that he woke up in the locker rooms and is doing fine, however, he will undergo close medical observation.

Whew... I got so scared, you guys! Memories of Antonio Puerta (DEP) started flashing in my mind...

DFB OFFICIAL STATEMENT!!!!!!

Ballack And Löw Meet For Talks
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

AND THE GOAL.COM VERSION, FOR LULZ
The DFB statement revealed that Ballack had flown to Frankfurt with the permission of his club Chelsea and that a further statement would be released on Friday to reveal the outcome of the discussions.
Löw called the meeting following comments Ballack made in a newspaper interview for which he has since apologised for. In the interview Ballack accused Löw of showing a lack of respect towards some of the senior players in the German squad.
Earlier today, national team general manager Oliver Bierhoff, with whom Ballack is also reported to have problems with, spoke out in favour of Löw.
"You cannot claim that Joachim Low lacks respect for people" he told Kicker magazine.
"The coach has a responsibility and he has to make the decisions. He has got to put his head on the line and the players have got to accept that."
