The striker, 20, who scored the winner in his side's 1-0 Carling Cup victory over Wolves last month, is set to be rewarded with the new deal after breaking into Sir Alex Ferguson's first-team squad, according to The Sun.
United have also extended 20-year-old defender Ritchie de Laet's contract until 2012 after the Belgian impressed since his transfer from Stoke in January.
De Laet, who has two international caps, said: 'Alex Ferguson told me I'm very close to the first team.'
