Well this weekend a second division Italian team showed fair play to the other team.
Ascoli vs Reggina December 5th, 2009
During the 14th minute of play, a Reggina player tried to clear the ball out of play after being injured but an opponent intercepted the ball and scored.
The controversy of the goal even led to a red card to one of Reggina's defenders.
The Ascoli players then decided that the right thing to do was to let the other team equalize by standing aside.
Even though the game finished 3-1 for Reggina, the home team had to stay 2 hours in the locker rooms in order to avoid confrontations with angry fans.
The paradox is that the league is apparently investigating to see if there was a ''Violation of fair play'' ...

But apparently the act of the Ascoli team is worth the FIFA Fair Play Trophy ...

And I don't exactly see the problem of Ascoli staying in the locker rooms from their fans too. I'd be mad if my team lost by 2 goals who were short a player. :P

The fans should be proud not angry.
It wouldn't have changed the original winner of the match.
